Quadrennial elections for the City of Brisbane, Australia, were held on 28 April 2012. The Lord Mayor of Brisbane was elected by all registered voters in the city, and twenty-six councillors were elected from single-member wards.
== Mayoral election ==

Campbell Newman was elected Lord Mayor of Brisbane in 2008 as the Liberal Party candidate. In 2011 he resigned as Lord Mayor to be the Liberal National Party's candidate for Premier of Queensland.
